Dr. Idil Elveris graduated from Istanbul University School of Law in 1996. She obtained her LLM degree from Tulane University in 1998 and her PHD in 2012 from Istanbul Bilgi University Political Science Department.
She practiced as a lawyer and legal consultant in New York, Kosovo, UK and Istanbul. She joined Istanbul Bilgi University in 2003 and has pioneered legal clinics in Turkey.
Her areas of interest include access to justice, law and politics, judiciary and alternative dispute resolution. Dr. Elveris is also a mediator and a visiting fellow at LSE. She also has a podcast called WeCanFindAWay that focuses on conflict resolution.
