Emine Uçak Erdoğan has worked for many years as a journalist as well as a professional and volunteer in various non-governmental organizations, especially in the field of human rights. She has published three books published so far: Kurdish Civans in Çanakkale, Keje: Growing Up in a Night and Malan Barkirin written in terms of oral history method with Özlem Yağız, D.Yıldız Amca and Necla Saydam. Emine Uçak Erdoğan graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Communication.
She completed her master's degree at Medeniyet University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Cultural Studies with a dissertation entitled Syrians: Everyday Life and Place in Istanbul.
