In order to determine its organizational structure, working areas and priorities, the Turkey Antenna of the Mediterranean Women Mediators Network held 2-day meetings with members of the Antenna in Ankara (Nov. 23-23, 2019) and İstanbul (Dec. 14-15).
During the meetings, a Coordination Group and sub-working groups were formed to speed up the management and functioning of the Turkey Antenna. The main working areas of the Turkey Antenna were determined as training, implementation, research and organization of meetings.
The various sessions were held where members of the Turkey Antenna shared information on peace processes and mediation issues through their own experiences. Beyond that, the mediation and the importance of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 in women's participation were discussed and in line with suggestions and complaints, the Turkey Antenna's work plans was created.
